About Us

GFMI is a Swedish-based NGO which supports the development of film activities in developing countries.

This includes

(1) disseminating knowledge and information about emerging films in Sweden and internationally.

(2) supporting filmmakers through the organization of training to improve professional standards within the local film industry.

(3) mobilizing resources to improve the technical standard and the deployment of films in developing countries.

(4) lobbying for the involvement of filmmakers from developing countries at international film festivals and increased international attention in the media and international institutions.
